About Me

Hello, my name’s Jayne and for as long as I can remember I’ve loved to fill my home with scents and smells. From the early days of plug-ins to more recently candles and reed diffusers there’s nothing quite like setting the ambience of a room with a carefully selected scent. 

Just like a perfume, everyone has their favourite and smells have a way of stimulating all sorts of feelings and memories so, with this is mind, I have decided to set up my own business. 

In 2019 I decided to turn my love of home fragrances into a small business. My son has finished uni and my mothering duties are limited so it seemed like an ideal time to fill my spare time with something I loved and that's when Essence & Mist was born. 

I decided to focus on fragrances for your home, sourcing already available fragrances and producing Luxury Soy Wax Melts. I'm also teaching myself about blending and have already produced my own essential oil blends to help with your mood.
